DHA Licensing Steps (Overview)
1. Create Sheryan Account
Sign up on the DHA’s online portal to start your application.
2. Dataflow Verification
A third-party company, Dataflow, will check if your documents are real.
3. DHA Exam
Pass the DHA’s computer-based test or Oral Assessment to prove your professional knowledge.
4. Get Eligibility Letter
After passing the exam and Dataflow, you’ll receive a letter that allows you to look for jobs.
Note: You can do the Exam and Dataflow in any order, or both at the same time.

DHA Licensing Process – Step by Step
Step 1: Create Your DHA Sheryan Account
The Sheryan portal is the online platform where you will manage your entire DHA license application. It’s your digital gateway to becoming a licensed Clinical Scientist in Dubai.
Documents Required to Open a Sheryan Account:
- Valid Passport
- Passport-sized Photograph
- Active Email ID
Once your account is created, you will be assigned a unique DHA ID, which you will use for all subsequent steps.
Step 2: DHA Primary Source Verification (PSV) via DataFlow
Purpose: Verify the authenticity of your documents before applying for the DHA license.
DataFlow verification is mandatory for all DHA applicants.

- Degree Certificate
- License (Valid license)
- Good Standing Certificate (From your licensing authority)
- Experience Certificate (If any; 1 letter included in base fee)
PSV Fees:
- Base Fee: AED 935 (covers 4 documents: Degree, License, Good Standing + 1 Experience Letter).
- Extra Documents: AED 300 per document (e.g., additional experience letters).

Step 4: Apply for Eligibility Letter
- Log in to your Sheryan account.
- Apply for the “Get Registered” service.
- Ensure your documents are verified by DataFlow and your exam results are recorded.
- Pay the AED 200 fee.
You will receive your Eligibility Letter, typically within 24 hours. This letter allows you to begin your job search in Dubai.

Criteria : License & Good Standing Certificate
Applicants holding a valid professional license and a Good Standing Certificate (GSC) from the recognized countries listed below are exempted from the DHA licensure exam, provided that:
The qualification was obtained within the last three (3) years, OR
There is no gap in clinical practice since the last employment.

- Access the Dubai Health Authority website – log in
- Select the Schedule Oral Assessment service
- Select the preferred date or date range
- Submit online application for this service and upload required document.
- Pay required fees.
- The application reference number created
- DHA review
- Oral Assessment team confirms assessment date
- Oral assessment is conducted.

Important Notes
- Cancellation of the ongoing “Schedule Oral Assessment” application will create a new application draft that should be completed within three months. The new draft application will require a new payment.
- Draft applications that are inactive for over 3 months will be cleared from the account. A 15 day reminder will be sent to the registered email.

For Oral Assessment
GENERAL RULES
- The DHA assessment can be Oral assessment (depending on the healthcare professional's category).
- Oral assessments are conducted virtually via a DHA-approved meeting platform. However, DHA reserves the right to require in-person attendance at a designated location if deemed necessary.
- The minimum number of assessment panel members to begin the exam is two at all times.
- DHA reserves the right to select the appropriate panel members; the applicant is not permitted to interfere.
- DHA is not mandated to change the panel members for the same applicant.
ORAL ASSESSMENT APPLICANT RESPONSIBILITY
- Scheduling is done via "Get registered" or "add upgrade professional registration" by selecting a date and paying fees. DHA confirms the date based on availability.
- Applicant must join the session 15 minutes early.
- Applicant may reschedule once, at no cost, if requested more than 5 working days prior. Requests within 5 working days are considered a "no show" and require a new booking and fee.
- Applicant shall display passport/ID for identity verification.
- Applicants are not allowed to wear masks during the session.
- Applicant must be seated at a comfortable distance, facing the panel to allow visual contact.
- Applicant must be alone in a closed room. Interference from others is considered an attempt to cheat.
- Applicant shall turn the computer 360 degrees at the start and at any time requested by DHA.
- Applicant must adjust the camera to ensure face and hands are always visible.
- Electronic communication devices, smart watches, and mobile phones are not permitted. Use is considered cheating.
- Notes, books, or other written materials (electronic or otherwise) are not permitted.
- Applicant is not permitted to record the session; only DHA reserves this right.
- Applicant shall comply with directions given by DHA or the panel.
- Applicant shall ensure their laptop/computer and electricity function properly.
- The result (PASS/FAIL) is received through the Sheryan system within 3-5 working days.
- Candidates are not allowed to contact the assessment panel for any reason (results or feedback).
- DHA reserves the right to take action (fail or prevent future attempts) in cases of unethical practice.
- Assistance for scheduling is available via the Sheryan service site or DHA customer service.

If you did not study in English, you must pass one of:
- IELTS: Minimum 5.0
- TOEFL: Minimum 500
- OET: Minimum Grade C
- Cambridge English: Minimum 169
