Qualifications
Certificate in paramedicine / emergency medicine services / emergency and medical care / emergency and trauma care technology / trauma care / advanced assessment of trauma (minimum of two (2) academic years or 1500 hours course duration) And Valid BLS, ACLS, PALS and Trauma certificate (PHTLS or ITLS)
Bachelor’s degree in nursing And Valid BLS, ACLS, PALS and Trauma certificate (PHTLS or ITLS)
Experience
One (1) year experience post qualification as paramedic
*In the Emirate of Dubai, EMS professionals are licensed by Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services (DCAS)
*In compliance with the Discontinuity of Practice (Gap of Practice) criteria.
Additional Mandatory Requirements
- Valid Registration / License: Applicants must hold a valid professional license or registration from their home country and/or country of last employment (where applicable).
- Good Standing Certificate (GSC): A valid GSC is required from the same licensing authority that issued your license(must be issued within the last 6 months).

DCAS Licensing Steps (Overview)
1. Create DCAS Account
Sign up on the DCAS’s online portal to start your application.
2. Dataflow Verification
A third-party company, Dataflow, will check if your documents are real.
3. DCAS Exam
Pass the DCAS’s computer-based test or Oral Assessment to prove your professional knowledge.
4. Get Eligibility Letter
After passing the exam and Dataflow, you’ll receive a letter that allows you to look for jobs.

DCAS Licensing Process – Step by Step
Requirements:
- Personal photo.
- Professional accreditation letter (for trainers).
- Criminal record certificate for all categories.
- Professional experience according to the Professional Standards Guide.
- License card issued by the country of graduation or by the Dubai Health Authority.
- Certified copies of academic certificates (except for drivers).
- DataFlow report (except for drivers).
- Prometric certificate (for medics).
- Copy of passport with residency/visit visa.
- Medical malpractice insurance for paramedics.
- A copy detailing theoretical and practical training hours.
- First aid course for ambulance drivers.
- Valid driver’s license for ambulance drivers

AED 150: Licensing application fee
AED 800: License issuance for Dispatchers and EMT –practical test (AED 200 / AED 1,000 Urgent)
AED 1,300: License issuance for Paramedic –practical test (AED 200 / AED 1,000 Urgent)
AED 1,800: License issuance for advanced paramedic, Air/Marine/ First air instructor and advanced life support instructor – practical test (AED 200 / AED 1,000 Urgent)
AED 10: Knowledge fee
AED 10: Innovation fee
Procedure for Customers:

Complete the application form and upload all required documents.
Submit the application and pay the applicable service fees.
In case of missing requirements, the applicant will be notified to complete the documents.
